INGREDIENTS: White basmati rice
INFO: Organic rice from approved Indian strain of Basmati grown in the Himalayan foothills. The rice should have a distinctive aroma & white/tan appearance with characteristic odour free from any taint. The rice is grown, processed and packed in accordance with the requirements of regulation 2092/91 EU
STORAGE: Cool, dry and hygienic, away from direct light and odours.
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: Place the rice in medium bowl and add enough water to cover by 2 inches. Using your hands, gently swish the grains to release any excess starch and carefully pour off the water. Repeat four times, or until the water runs almost clear.
Drain the rice and in a medium pot, bring the water, butter, salt, and rice to a boil.
Cover the pot with a tight fitting lid, then turn the heat down to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, until all of the water is absorbed and rice is soft. Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve.
SHELF LIFE: 12 months in a cool dry atmosphere.

889/2008 and meets the Soil Association Organic Standards.
